New Policy – Under the New Policy, Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi (KPK) has initiated investigations into two business leaders from private companies as part of a broader probe into alleged corruption in the procurement of goods and services for the Muara Enim Regency government in South Sumatra, during the 2025-2026 budget period. The two individuals being examined are Harijanto Langgeng from PT HIT Internasional and Daniel Braindnata S from PT Milenium Solusi Abadi. This action underscores the New Policy’s emphasis on transparency and accountability in public projects.

“Pemeriksaan dilakukan di Gedung Merah Putih,” terang Juru Bicara KPK Budi Prasetyo dalam pernyataannya, Selasa (23/6/2026).

As part of the New Policy’s framework, KPK has secured several key figures in the case, including Edison (EDS), the former Muara Enim Regency head during 2025-2030; Abi Nurwadani (ABN), the secretary of the Education and Culture Department in 2026; Adi Triyadi (AD), a trusted associate of Edison; and Cory Erin Hardi (CRH), a representative of PT Milenium Solusi Abadi. These individuals have been detained at the KPK’s Kuningan branch detention center in South Jakarta for 20 days, from June 8 to June 27, 2026, with Edison and Adi Triyadi remaining in custody until June 28, 2026.

The New Policy is a critical component in the KPK’s strategy to combat corruption. By targeting both public officials and private sector leaders, the policy aims to ensure that all stakeholders in public projects are held accountable. The recent pemeriksaan (examination) of these two business leaders is a testament to the policy’s effectiveness in expanding the scope of investigations beyond government officials alone.

The investigation into the Muara Enim project began with a coordinated operation (OTT) conducted by KPK in Jakarta and South Sumatra. During this operation, 10 individuals were arrested, with Edison being the primary suspect. Following the OTT, the KPK conducted a case review, which led to the formal designation of four names as suspects. This process highlights the New Policy’s commitment to thorough and systematic enforcement of anti-corruption laws.

In addition to the arrests, the KPK has gathered substantial evidence, including cash in both local and foreign currencies, bank balances, and electronic devices. The total value of the seized assets amounts to approximately Rp1.9 billion. This includes Rp323 million from a satchel belonging to Abi Nurwadani, Rp40 million in cash from a safe in his home, and foreign currency totaling US$3,200 and SAR 2,260. Electronic evidence and bank records also play a significant role in supporting the case under the New Policy’s guidelines.

Under the New Policy, the legal framework for corruption cases has been reinforced. The suspects are accused of violating various provisions of the Corruption Eradication Act and the Criminal Code, including Pasal 12 huruf a dan/atau b, Pasal 12B, Pasal 606 ayat (2), and Pasal 20 huruf c. CRH, for instance, is charged with breaches under Pasal 605 huruf a dan/atau b, as well as Pasal 606 ayat (1) and Pasal 20 huruf c. These charges reflect the New Policy’s strict application of anti-corruption laws to both public and private entities.

The New Policy has not only intensified the KPK’s focus on high-profile cases but also emphasized the need for collaboration between government agencies and private sector stakeholders. By addressing corruption at every level, the policy aims to create a more equitable and transparent environment for public projects. The Muara Enim case serves as a prime example of how the New Policy is being implemented to ensure accountability across all sectors involved in government contracts.
